Peec AI alternatives: 8 AI visibility tools compared (2026)
Peec AI is one of the best-known AI visibility tools, and for many marketing teams it's the default shortlist entry. It isn't the right fit for everyone. The most common reasons people look for an alternative are the number of assistants on the entry plan, the price per prompt once a team tracks more than one product line, and needing Claude or Perplexity without moving to an enterprise contract.
Below are eight alternatives, with prices and features taken from each vendor's own pricing and documentation pages in November 2026. Prices change often in this category, so check the linked page before you buy. Where a vendor doesn't publish something, we say so instead of guessing.
Disclosure: AI Monitor is our product and is included in the list. We've described it with the same criteria as the others, including where it is weaker.

What to compare before choosing
Feature lists in this category look alike. These five questions separate the tools in practice:
- What does a prompt cost you per assistant? "50 prompts" on three assistants is 150 tracked combinations; on one assistant it's 50. Divide the plan price by prompts × assistants × runs per month to compare like with like.
- Which assistants are add-ons? Several tools include ChatGPT and AI Overviews but charge extra for Gemini, Claude or Perplexity.
- Where do answers come from? Asking in the assistant's real web app is closer to what users see than calling its API. Location matters too: a request from a US data center gets US results even if the prompt says "in Germany". Few vendors document either.
- Can you see and correct the answer behind a number? If a sentiment label is wrong, can you fix it, and does the fix survive the next run?
- Country and language control. If you sell in more than one market, check whether countries are priced per seat, per project or included.
Peec AI: the baseline
Peec AI is the benchmark most alternatives are compared to. Its documentation states that it collects answers by UI scraping, as a logged-out user, rather than through model APIs.
- Pricing: Starter $95/month (50 prompts, 3 active models, about 4,500 answers a month, 1 country, 1 project). Pro $245/month adds 150 prompts and 3 countries. Advanced $495/month. Enterprise is custom.
- Assistants: ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver on paid plans, with three active at a time. Perplexity, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek and others are listed for Enterprise.
- Strong points: detailed source analytics (domains, URLs, citation share, gap analysis), unlimited seats and competitors, an MCP connector, and a research-heavy blog.
- Watch out for: the three-model limit on lower plans and Perplexity/Claude being enterprise-only.
1. Profound
Profound targets large brands and agencies, with security features such as SSO and SOC 2 and add-ons like agent analytics and a content agent.
- Pricing: a free 7-day trial with 50 daily prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews. Paid plans are not priced publicly.
- Assistants: up to nine on Enterprise, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, Gemini, DeepSeek, Claude and AI Overviews.
- Strong points: breadth of enterprise features, prompt volume estimates, shopping tracking.
- Watch out for: no public pricing, and Profound's own pages describe its data collection in different ways, so ask directly.
2. Otterly.AI
Otterly.AI is the low-cost entry point most lists recommend for small teams.
- Pricing: Lite $29/month (15 prompts, daily). Standard $189/month (100 prompts). Premium $489/month (400 prompts). Extra prompts are $99 per 100.
- Assistants: ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot are included. AI Mode and Gemini are $9/month each on Lite; Claude is $29/month on Lite. Add-on prices are higher on Standard.
- Strong points: cheap to start, unlimited seats, GEO audits, API and MCP from Standard.
- Watch out for: 15 prompts is a small sample, and the add-ons make full coverage cost noticeably more than the headline price.
3. Scrunch
Scrunch combines monitoring with AXP, a version of your site built for AI agents to read.
- Pricing: Starter $250/month billed annually, or $300 month-to-month (350 custom prompts, 3 personas, 3 seats). Growth $417/month annually. 7-day free trial without a card.
- Assistants: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Meta.
- Strong points: a large prompt allowance on the entry plan, personas, page audits, agent traffic data.
- Watch out for: the entry price is high for a single small brand; sentiment isn't mentioned on the pricing page.
4. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit
The Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit adds AI tracking to an SEO suite many teams already pay for.
- Pricing: $99/month per domain with 25 tracked prompts; 50 more prompts cost $60/month. Extra domains or seats are $99 each. The knowledge base says there is no free trial.
- Assistants: the documentation names ChatGPT and Google AI Mode explicitly.
- Strong points: an AI Visibility Score next to your SEO data, prompt research, 220+ countries.
- Watch out for: 25 prompts per domain is small, and costs add up per domain and per seat.
5. Ahrefs Brand Radar
Ahrefs Brand Radar works differently: alongside your own prompts it offers an index of hundreds of millions of prompts generated from Ahrefs keyword data, re-tested monthly.
- Pricing: custom prompts from $50/month (the Lite tier is 5 prompts and 150 checks a month). The AI Visibility Index starts at $199/month.
- Assistants: AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot. Claude is available in custom prompts at a higher check cost.
- Strong points: market-wide visibility without writing prompts, impressions estimates, Reddit and YouTube sources.
- Watch out for: the index is refreshed monthly, and pricing tiers take some reading to understand.
6. Rankscale
Rankscale prices by credits rather than prompts and advertises the widest engine list in this comparison.
- Pricing: Essentials $17/month billed yearly (120 credits, roughly 480 answers, 2 brand dashboards). Sentiment analysis starts on Pro ($84/month). Note that the homepage and pricing page showed different starting prices when we checked.
- Assistants: "17+", including AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, DeepSeek, Mistral and Grok.
- Strong points: flexible credits, white-label for agencies, REST API on higher plans.
- Watch out for: sentiment is not on the entry plan.
7. Am I On AI
Am I On AI focuses on recommendations and content planning on top of tracking.
- Pricing: Pro $100/month (up to 150 prompts), Prism $349/month (750 prompts, audience segments). 7-day trial.
- Assistants: ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews.
- Strong points: guidance on what to publish, persona and content pillar tracking.
- Watch out for: only two assistants.
8. AI Monitor
AI Monitor is our tool. It's built around a per-check price rather than a prompt allowance: one check is one prompt answered by one assistant.
- Pricing: new accounts get free credit and no card is needed. After that you pay per check (assistants asked in their web app cost more than API-only ones) or take the Pro plan at $299/month with 2,500 checks included. Current numbers are on the pricing page.
- Assistants: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, DeepSeek and Mistral, plus Yandex for Russian-speaking markets, with no per-engine add-ons. You choose per report which ones to ask and from which country.
- Data collection: every assistant that has a public web app is asked there, in a fresh logged-out session, through a residential connection in the report's country. The actual location of each connection is verified and mismatches are flagged. Assistants without a public web app (Claude, Grok, DeepSeek) are asked through their API with web search always on.
- Strong points: every metric links to the answers it was counted from; mention, position and sentiment labels come with the sentence they were based on and can be corrected; discovered competitors; full CSV export; a prompt generator that turns your keywords into buyer prompts.
- Watch out for: we don't yet offer site audits, AI crawler analytics or shopping tracking. If those matter more than answer-level data, Peec AI, Profound or Scrunch cover them.
Which Peec AI alternative fits which team
- You want the cheapest way to start: Otterly.AI or Rankscale, accepting a small prompt set or credit limits.
- You already live in an SEO suite: Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit or Ahrefs Brand Radar, so AI data sits next to rankings.
- You need enterprise controls and a vendor relationship: Profound or Peec AI Enterprise.
- You want AI-specific site work as well as tracking: Scrunch.
- You need the answers a buyer in a specific country actually sees, across all major assistants, and want to pay only for the checks you run: AI Monitor.
Whichever you pick, run the same 20 prompts in your trial on two or three different days before deciding. The method for that is in our guide to AI visibility tracking.
FAQ
What is the best alternative to Peec AI?
It depends on what you need from Peec AI that you aren't getting. For a lower entry price, Otterly.AI and Rankscale. For broader assistant coverage without an enterprise plan, Scrunch or AI Monitor. For enterprise features, Profound.
How much does Peec AI cost?
As of November 2026, Peec AI's Starter plan is $95 per month for 50 prompts on three active models and one country. Pro is $245 per month and Advanced is $495 per month; Enterprise is priced on request.
Is there a free AI visibility tool?
Several tools offer trials (Profound, Scrunch, Am I On AI, Otterly.AI), and AI Monitor gives new accounts free credit without a card. Ahrefs has a free AI visibility checker preview. Fully free ongoing tracking is rare because every check costs the vendor a model call.
Do AI visibility tools use the API or the real ChatGPT interface?
It varies and many vendors don't say. Peec AI documents UI scraping. AI Monitor asks in the real web app wherever one exists, from a residential connection in the target country, and uses the API with web search only for assistants without a public web app. Ask any vendor you evaluate directly, because the two methods can give different answers.
Which assistants should an AI visibility tool cover?
At minimum ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Gemini, because they reach the most users. Add Perplexity and Claude if your buyers are technical or research-heavy, and regional assistants if you sell in markets where they're popular.
